Saratoga Safer Streets met with DPW Commissioner, Chuck Marshall, and his team on Tuesday, May 6. We are pleased by the commitment to our Grand Ave Initiative and the progress continuing to be made. Your support, both written and in person, has made a difference! Thank you.
UPDATE: SITE VISIT 5/13
For neighbors living directly along Grand Avenue, be on the lookout for a door hanger that will include information about an On-Site meeting that will occur on Tuesday, May 13. We are now moving into a more detailed portion of the project where the designs are approaching finalization and your approval or input may be requested.
UPDATE: KEY REVISIONS
Key revisions to the site designs as a result of the feedback received in the 2/27 Public Input Session are:
- Sidewalks east of the overpass (South side)
- 8′ asphalt path west of the overpass (South side)
- Crosswalks at Jenee Way/Knight Way and Pine Ave
- Sidewalks to connect Jenee Way and the western Sherwood Trail on Grand Ave (North side, to complete missing sidewalk links)
WHAT CAN YOU DO NOW?
- Attend the site visit on Tuesday, May 13.
- Speak with your neighbors about the benefits of this project to our neighborhood and encourage ongoing support.
- Continue to express your support of this project with the city!
