Saratoga Safer Streets has been focused on remaining on the Council’s radar during budget season, to ensure funding for this project is allocated in 2023. Knowing this may be a multi-year project, having money allocation in 2023 is essential due to the urgency of this issue. Unfortunately, the first 2023 City Budget was presented and there was NOT funding allocated for a Grand Ave safety/access project. Council members expressed that they have intentions to add this project into the next draft of the budget which will be presented in November.
